The Choice to Face Your Shadow

Apostle James Suddeth

2 Corinthians 12:7-21

Everyone has a shadow. What is it? Its a dark sided accumulation of unattained emotions. The battle of the shadow has a lot to do with emotional build and make up. Check your emotions and check yourself. Motives are what strongly shape your emotions. Its damaged parts that you try to keep under the surface that can come to surface in different ways in your shadow. YOU HAVE TO CONFRONT IT. Don't deny it. There are gifts inside of you that your shadow is trying to hide. God can't use you completely until you open up to the awareness that there are behaviors that you need to confront. Don't deny it! There are gifts inside you that your shadow is trying to hide. God is waiting with power in awareness. You cannot change what you're not aware of. When we identify our shadows and its root causes we will be able to be free. Expose your shadow to the light of Jesus. Paul was successful in building churches. Building the churches tested Paul's shadow which could have been the reason for the thorn in his side. We don't know the reason for the thorn but we know it made him lead out of weakness of himself but strength in God. If God was able to use Paul in his shadow experience how about us? You're being challenged in areas of your life. His Grace is Sufficient. He will give you release that you ask for AND ITS FOR YOU! There are things that God will not allow you to leave because they are to remind you of his Grace. It will keep you humble and in his presence. Paul refers to the thorn as a reminder of Grace, Power, and Weakness. Even though you have a dark side IT IS NOT A SOURCE OF SHAME. God is trying to get us aware that we are messed uo with out him and unbalanced.
